The “Historical Impression Group Munich e.V.” has members of all age groups, who not only come from Munich, but from the entire Federal Republic as well as neighboring countries and even from the USA.
The HDGM is an interest group of like-minded people from a wide range of professional groups who have set themselves the goal of re-experiencing history as faithfully as possible. This includes the theoretical study of literature, the production or procurement of clothing and equipment as well as active leisure activities by “immersing” in the respective era.
What is unique about the HDGM is that the area of representation is not tied to a specific era; rather, different time periods are covered by the members. The HDGM includes the Celtic Late Latene Period, the Early Middle Ages, the Viking Age, the 18th century, the American Civil War and the period of the “Old West”.
